Nigeria Rohr Wants NFF To Pay Off His Debt

Gernot Rohr, a former head coach of the Super Eagles, has urged the Nigeria Football Federation to pay off his debt.

On the eve of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon, Rohr was fired by the NFF.

The German later filed a complaint with FIFA alleging unjust dismissal and requested compensation.


In May, the tribunal mandated that the NFF pay the Franco-German about $380,000, along with a warning that the NFF would face sanctions if Rohr’s debt was not fully satisfied within 45 days.

“I received part of the payments from Fifa but not everything has been paid,” Rohr told BBC Sport Africa.

“The ruling already said the interest must be paid, now we are waiting for the outstanding with the interest.”
