Foot Africa Morocco FA Close To Appoint Walter Mazzarri At The Head Of Atlas Lions

Morocco Football Federation has advanced talks with Walter Mazzarri to be appointed head coach for the national team.

The 60-year-old Italian coach has reportedly landed in Rabat, Morocco’s capital, to meet directly with Fouzi Lekjaa, the president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, and his appointment could be announced this week.

Mazzarri is currently out of work after leaving Cagliari in May, having spent one season with the Sardinian club. The experienced tactician usually takes a break in between jobs, but that could change as the 2022 World Cup approaches.
