Victor Osimhen kicked off the new Serie A season scoring a goal and providing an assist as Napoli hammered Verona 5-2 away on Monday evening.
The Super Eagles forward scored in three minutes of first half added time to put Napoli 2-1 ahead. And he celebrated his goal by teasing the Verona fans who racially abused him by chanting racist slurs.

After the game, the Nigerian international admitted the league season is a marathon. But he was pleased to have Napoli start it on a brilliant note.

The former Lille younster also delivered three key passes, one of which set up Politano for Napoli’s fifth goal of the evening.
Osimhen and Napoli will on Sunday host newly-promoted Monza at the Diego Maradona Stadium on matchday two.
