Shooting Stars, a team in the Nigeria Professional Football League, has begun preparing for the 2022–2023 season by signing head coach Gbenga Ogunbote.

The team’s 2021–2022 season will go down in history as it struggles to avoid relegation and must wait until the very last minute to learn its fate.

Gbenga Ogunbote was introduced as the club’s new head coach on Monday by the organization.

After leading the newly promoted Remo Stars to a spot on the table last season, the former Sunshine Stars manager garnered media attention.

He left the Sky Blue Boy after his contract expired and made the decision to relocate to Ibadan, where he had previously worked.

His top aim is to maintain the team’s position in the premier league and determine whether they can play on the continent the following season.
