Bailly struggled to maintain a spot in the first squad after moving to United from Villarreal in 2016 for £30 million.
In the previous five seasons, he only made 45 Premier League matches due to a string of injuries.
He has fallen down the Old Trafford hierarchy due to the arrivals of Lisandro Martinez this summer and Raphael Varane last season.
