Nigeria Iwobi, Iheanacho, Ndidi In Action In Today’s Premier League

Everton played at Brentford on Saturday, but Alex Iwobi was unable to lead them to their first Premier League victory of the year as they were held to a 1-1 draw.

While his Super Eagles teammate Frank Onyeka was a benchwarmer for Brentford, Iwobi played the full 90 minutes.

Everton has already played four league games this season and has failed to win any of them, drawing two and losing two.

In the 24th minute, Conor Coady’s ball was intercepted by Anthony Gordon, who ran on it and blasted past David Raya to give Everton the lead.

But Vitaly Janelt of Brentford tied the score with six minutes remaining to deny Everton its first victory of the year.

On just two points, Frank Lampard’s team is now occupying the 17th spot in the standings.

While playing for struggling Leicester at Stamford Bridge, Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho saw their team fall to Chelsea 2-1 despite the Blues losing Conor Gallagher to a red card.

Iheanacho and Ndidi both made their debuts in the 55th and 89th minutes, respectively.

After losing three and drawing one of their four games so far this season, Leicester is now ranked 19th after the loss.

Gallagher received a second caution for pulling down Harvey Barnes when Leicester countered in the 28th minute.

However, the scores were tied at the half between the two clubs before Raheem Sterling’s goal for Chelsea on the 47th minute broke the tie.

Sterling scored again in the 63rd minute to give Chelsea a 2-0 lead, but Barnes made it a one-goal game in the 66th.

Liverpool defeated Bournemouth 9-0 at Anfield as they bounced back from their defeat to Manchester United.

After drawing two and losing one of their first three games, Liverpool finally earned their first league victory of the year.

For the first time since September 1989, when they played Crystal Palace, the Reds have scored nine goals in a single Premier League game (9-0).

Additionally, today’s victory was one of their biggest in league history (also 9-0 vs Crystal Palace in 1989 and 10-1 vs Rotherham Town in 1896).

Erling Haaland scored a hat-trick as Manchester City defeated Crystal Palace 4-2 at the Etihad after falling behind 2-0.
