Basketball FIBA 2023 Qualifiers: D’Tigers Beat Uganda To Bounce Back

The D’Tigers of Nigeria won their second match in the second round of the 2023 FIBA World Cup qualifiers on Saturday, defeating Guinea 89-70 after falling to Côte d’Ivoire.

D’Tigers’ first game on Friday ended in a 78-66 loss to Côte d’Ivoire, setting up the match with Guinea.

The Nigerian team won the first quarter, 24 to 15, and both teams tied at the end of the second, 20 to 20.

D’Tigers won the third quarter 21–15 before winning the fourth quarter 10–6 to start their campaign.

The D’Tigers’ next match, a crucial one against Angola, is scheduled for Sunday.

The Angolans, who also competed on Saturday, defeated Cape Verde 65–58 to secure their second victory.
