Chelsea Broja Signs Contract Extension With Chelsea Till 2028

By agreeing to a new, long-term deal that runs through 2028, Armando Broja has pledged his future to Chelsea.

Later this month, the 20-year-old striker, who will be 21 then, announced after his six-year contract was finished:

“I’m lost for words really just thinking about it. It’s the club I’ve dreamed of playing for my whole life, the club that I support and the club that I love.

” I’ve been here since I was a boy so it’s a surreal feeling for me and my family.

“To be able to put on the blue shirt with the first team is a dream come true. It’s amazing every minute that you get to play on the pitch because this is one of the biggest clubs in the world.

“There’s always competition and everyone wants to play so I’m just happy that I have the opportunity to be a part of it.

“Hopefully I get to play a lot of matches and be a part of the team’s success.’

Broja, who had an effect in the Premier League at Southampton when on loan there in 2021–2022, has already made three substitute appearances for Thomas Tuchel’s team this year.

In 38 games for Hampshire, he scored nine times, including in a victory over Tottenham in the league.

The new contract was approved, and the chairman, Todd Boehly, said:

“We are delighted Armando has committed to Chelsea.

” He is a young and exciting striker and a big part of our plans moving forward.’

Behdad Eghbali and José E. Feliciano, co-controlling owners, said:

“Armando has so much talent and we are confident he can fulfil it at Chelsea.

“We are all looking forward to watching his development this season and beyond.’ 

Previously, Broja played on loan at Vitesse Arnhem, where his 11 goals helped the Dutch team win the KNVB Cup and finish fourth in the Eredivisie.

He was one of the top-scoring adolescents in Europe after the campaign was over.

The Albanian international made his senior Chelsea debut in March 2020, coming off the bench in a Premier League match against Everton, which turned out to be our final game before Covid-19 suspended sport.

Since the conclusion of his Under-9 season, Broja has been a member of the Blues’ roster. He has always played as an attacker and scored goals as he advanced through the Cobham ranks.

Broja represents Albania on the world stage and has discovered.

In his 15 complete international games to date, Broja, who plays for Albania, has scored four goals.
