Chelsea Football Club announced the sacking of Thomas Tuchel following the club’s surprising loss to Dinamo Zagreb (0-1) in their first UEFA Champions league clash on Tuesday night.
Tuchel is no longer Chelsea manager. The 49-year old who arrived at Stamford Bridge in 2021 after being sacked by PSG has been relieved of hi duties on Wednesday morning by the new Chelsea board.
“Chelsea Football Club has today parted company with Head Coach Thomas Tuchel”, a statement on the club’s website reads.

“On behalf of everyone at Chelsea FC, the Club would like to place on record its gratitude to Thomas and his staff for all their efforts during their time with the Club.
“Thomas will rightly have a place in Chelsea’s history after winning the Champions League, the Super Cup and Club World Cup in his time here”, CFC added.
The 49-year old will be replaced by a coaching staff who will take charge of the first team’s training sessions pending the appointment of a new coach.
