Robert Lewandowski inspired FC Barcelona to a winning UEFA Champions league start with a hat-trick against Viktoria Plzen in the Spanish side’s 5-1 at Camp Nou.

Ivory Coast midfielder Franck Kessié who was a starter for the first time in a competitive game for the Catalonians was the one who opened the scoring with a header inside 13 minutes.

Then followed the Lewandowski show starting from a strike inside the box in the 34th minute, a header on a lovely assist from Dembélé in the additional time of the first half (45+3) and another strike outside the box in the 67th minute.

Spanish winger Ferra Torres was the last one to write his name on the scoresheet as he made it 5-1 for Barcelona in the 71st minute.

A well deserved win for Xavi Hernandez and his men who are on top of Group C after this matchday 1 ahead of Bayern Munich who is their next opponent (Wednesday, September 13).
