Chelsea Football Club have reached a verbal agreement with the replacement of German manager Thomas Tuchel, as per multiple reports.
The London side announced on Wednesday the sacking of Tuchel following the 1-0 loss to Dinamo Zagreb in their first UEFA Champions league game this season.
After spending big money in the summer transfer window and bringing players like Raheem Sterling, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang with whom he worked at Dortmund and Wesley Fofana to bolster the defensive line, Todd Boehly decided to sack Tuchel.

And now the club is said to be very close to appointing a new head coach for the first team.
According to the Telegraph, Graham Potter has verbally agreed to replace Thomas Tuchel at Chelsea.
The 2021 European Champions are now working on the final details in order to announce his arrival as they received the green light from Brighton on Wednesday to discuss with him.
The 47-year old met Todd Boehly and the new Chelsea board on Wednesday night in London and is expected to arrive today at the Stamford Bridge.
It’s reported that Potter will sign a long-term deal with the Blues and could be in the touchlines for the club this Saturday against Fulham in Premier League.
In addition, Chelsea will play a £17m release clause to Brighton in order to land Graham Potter while Thomas Tuchel is set to receive a £7m amount for compensation.
