New Chelsea owner Todd Boehly has revealed the reason why he decided to sack Thomas Tuchel last week after the 1-0 loss to Dinamo Zagreb in UEFA Champions league.

The American businessman reassured that the decision has nothing to do with the result of that game.

Despite being sixth in the Premier League ahead of Jürgen Klopp’s Liverpool, Tuchel has been relieved of his duties and replaced by Graham Potter.

Speaking in the SALT Conference on Tuesday afternoon, Boehly has been invited to explain that decision which surprised many Blues across the globe.

And he replied : “Tuchel is extremely talented and had great success, our vision for the club was finding a manager that wanted to collaborate with us.

“Bring a team together with the academy, first team and incremental clubs we want to acquire.

“But we weren’t sure Thomas saw our vision the same way we saw it, we didn’t have a shared vision”, he added.
