Manchester United Rashford Named Premier League Player Of The Month For September

The EA SPORTS Player of the Month honor for September goes to Manchester United forward, Marcus Rashford.

The Manchester United player gets the award after helping his team score all four goals in victories over Leicester City and Arsenal, extending their winning streak.

It’s a good feeling,” Rashford said. “We didn’t start the season so strongly so to get four wins on the bounce is really good.

“It’s still fairly new with the manager and we’ve got much better at doing the things he wants us to.

“But there are still a lot of steps to take and we’re all looking forward to doing that together.”

The fact that Rashford assisted on the other goal against the Gunners is what stands out to him despite the fact that he scored both of his goals in September in the same game that Man Utd broke Arsenal’s unbeaten start to the season.

“My favourite moment of September was an assist actually!” Rashford added.

“Antony’s first goal, on his debut. It was a massive moment and it gives us strength and courage, and seeing him come into the team and score right away is massively important.”

After receiving the honor for the first time in January 2019, Rashford triumphs once more.

A six-man shortlist that featured Philip Billing, Kevin De Bruyne, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Alex Iwobi, and Jacob Ramsey was topped by the 24-year-old.

After a panel of football experts and votes from the general public on the EA SPORTS website were added together, he was declared the winner.
