Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta has provided encouraging update on Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey injury during his pre-match press conference on Friday.
The 29-year old contracted an injury in early minutes of the Ghana’s friendly game against Brazil last week (3-0) and had to be replaced quickly.
He was further ruled out to Black Stars second friendly match against Nicaragua (1-0 win) and was allowed to fly back to London.
Ghana Football Association (GFA) stated that the former Atletico Madrid star picked up a knee injury.

Few days later, it seems that the injury is a minor one as Thomas Partey is expected to be including in Arsenal’s squad to face Tottenham in the North London derby this Saturday (11:30am).
“They are part of the team”, Mikel Arteta answered when quizzed about Partey, Kieran Tierney and Zinchenko.
