CAF Champions League CAF Confirms Date For Champions League, Confederation Cup

The dates, times, and locations for the forthcoming second round of Champions League and Confederation Cup games have finally been revealed by the African soccer governing body CAF.

Three of the four Nigerian teams that entered the competition after Remo Stars were eliminated in the first round are still competing.

Rivers United and Wydad Casablanca will play on October 9 at 4 p.m. at the Adokie Amasiamaka stadium, according to a CAF press release.

Plateau, league runners-up On the same day at 4 pm at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja, United will take on former African champions Esperance of Tunisia.

At the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos at 4 o’clock in the afternoon, Kwara United and the reigning Confederation Cup champions RS Berkane of Morocco will square off.

Both Rivers United and Plateau United will advance to the Champions League group stage with victories, while a loss will send them to the Confederation Cup play-off.

Kwara United will advance to the qualifier’s final round with a win, while a loss will result in their elimination.
