Nigeria Super Falcons Move Up In Latest FIFA Women’s Ranking

The Nigerian Super Falcons moved up one spot in the most recent FIFA/Coca-Cola Women’s World rankings.

On Thursday, the most recent rankings were announced by the Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA).

According to FIFA, a record-breaking 187 national teams are now represented in the list.

The Super Falcons went from being ranked 46th to 45th in the world.

The former African champions fell to the United States of America and the Nadeshiko of Japan in two of their last three games.

The Super Falcons continued to hold the top spot in Africa, ahead of Banyana Banyana from South Africa, Indomitable Lioness from Cameroon, Black Queen from Ghana, and Elephants from Cote d’lvoire.

The FIFA/Coca-Cola Women’s World Ranking continues to place the USA at the top.

FIFA has stated that the seedings for the final draw for the 2023 Women’s World Cup, which will be co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand, will be determined by the October ranking.
