CAF Champions League CAFWCL: Hosts ASFAR Of Morocco Ends Bayelsa Queens Title Hope

ASFAR of Morocco,CAF Women’s Champions League tournament’s hosts this year, defeated Nigeria’s Bayelsa Queens 1-0 on Wednesday to go to the final.

Ibtissam Jradi’s lone goal in the game in the 27th minute was all that was needed to give her team the arduous victory.

After falling to Mamelodi Sundowns 2-1 in their tournament opener, Bayelsa Queens have already dropped their second match of the competition.

With the victory, ASFAR will play Mamelodi Sundowns, the reigning champions, in the championship game on Sunday.

While the third-place game on Saturday will pit Bayelsa Queens against Tanzania’s Simba Queens.

Boitumelo Rabele’s goal in the 76th minute gave Mamelodi Sundowns a 1-0 victory against Simba Queens in the first semi-final, which was also played on Wednesday.
