Friendly Super Eagles To Hold First Training session On Thursday

Nigeria Super Eagles will have their first training session on Wednesday ahead of the international friendly game against Portugal on Thursday.

The training will be coordinated by head coach Jose Peseiro who will be hoping to put the finishing touches on his team strategy, as well as have an idea of his starting squad for the Portugal friendly.

The team will train at the Estádio Jose Alvalade at 7:30 pm Nigeria time.

Portugal will be using the game to underscore their Africa opponent, Ghana in the Qatar 2022 World .

The Thursday friendly game will kickoff off at 6.45 pm Portugal time (and 7.45 pm in Nigeria).

According to report, all invited players have arrived camp and they undertook a light training session under the supervision of Peseiro .
The first 15 minutes of the practice session on Thursday will be open to the media.

The Portuguese coach of Nigeria and one of his players will have a press conference in the Estádio Alvalade conference room at 8:45 p.m. to preview the game.

The friendly on Thursday will be Peserio’s fourth since he took over the Super Eagles’ rubble after Nigeria lost to Ghana Black Stars in the Qatar 2022 World Cup CAF qualifying.

Peseiro, who has lost the last three friendlies to Mexico, Ecuador, and Algeria, will look to improve his record against Nigeria.
