Ghana Nketiah Arrives Ghana For Vacation Amid Cheers From Supporters

When Eddie Nketiah, a forward for Arsenal, arrived in Ghana for a vacation during the World Cup break, he was welcomed like a hero.

Nketiah, a London-born person of Ghanaian descent, touched down at Kotoka International Airport on Tuesday night.

After being dropped from Gary Southgate’s final World Cup selection in Qatar, the young player arrived in Ghana.

Nketiah is in Ghana to visit his family and contribute to some community projects.

Along with his family, he was welcomed by Women’s Premier League team Ridge City Football Club.

Nketiah was not interested in playing for the Black Stars at the World Cup, despite the Ghana Football Association’s best efforts.

He performed exceptionally well in young teams and wants to play for England’s Three Lions. The record for the most goals scored by an England U21 player belongs to Nketiah.

Manager Mikel Arteta has decided that Nketiah, who committed to Arsenal before the season started, is no longer necessary since he prefers Jesus, Saka, and other players.

He was mostly left off Gareth Southgate’s side for the tournament in Qatar because of his inability to secure consistent playing time.

And given that he said earlier this year that he would be open to playing for the Black Stars, his rejection of Ghana was unexpected.

He is thought to have lost favor in Ghana as a result of the most recent rejection.
