Europe Eden Hazard retires from International football

Belgium captain Eden Hazard has just announced his retirement from international football following Red Devils shocking elimination from World Cup 2022 Group stages.

Aged 31, Hazard said it’s now over for him with the National team as he made his stance known on social media on Wednesday.

A page is turned today… Thank you for your love. Thank you for your unparalleled support”, Hazard wrote.

“Thank you for all this happiness shared since 2008. I have decided to put an end to my international career. The succession is ready. I will miss you”

In addition, Eden Hazard made 126 caps with Belgium scoring 33 goals and winning a bronze medal during World Cup 2018 in Russia.

The 31-year old will now turn all focus on his club career in order to come back to his best level.
