Nigeria NWFL: Blackson Confident Of Victory Against Royal Queens

Head Coach of Delta Queens, Tosan Blackson has expressed confidence on his team to defeat local rivals, Royal Queens ahead of Wednesday Nigeria Women Football League NWFL Matchday 3 game.

Delta Queens welcome Royal Queens to the Stephen Keshi Stadium Asaba in the NWFL local derby game.

Coach Blackson who guided Delta Queens to an away victory against Heartland Queens last week is aiming to make it two wins from two games having been drawn bye at the beginning of the 2022/2023 NWFL season.

Speaking ahead of the game, coach Blackson noted that the rivalry between both side was always intense but was guaranteed of victory having never lost to their opponent in previous meetings.

“It surely will not be a walkover over Royal Queens, we had never lost against them so they always try to make the statement that there is always a first time”

“But we are confident that winning is not negotiable.

“We will do our best and give God the glory after 90 minutes”

On her part, the Chief Executive Officer of Delta Queens FC Of Asaba, Henrrientta Ehiabor in a pre-match Interview said the team was physically and mentally well positioned for the best result from the encounter.

“We are never in the spirit of taking any team for granted because there are no minors in football anymore”

“Thanks to a supportive Tonubok Okowa led sports commission, the team is highly motivated and am sure it will reflect on our result today at home against our sister team Royal Queens Of Warri”

The game is scheduled to kick off by 4pm.
