For the year 2022, Victor Osimhen has been nominated for Napoli’s Best Goal and Assist award.

The top five goals nominated for the prize included Osimhen’s outstanding goal in Napoli’s 1-0 away victory against Jose Mourinho’s AS Roma in October.

Before shooting past goalkeeper Rui Patricio from a tight angle, the Nigerian player outmuscled English player Chris Smalling.

The other contenders for the Best Goal honor are Giovanni Simeone, Piotr Zielinski, Khivicha Kvaratskhelia, and Eljif Elmas.

Osimhen is also a candidate for the Best Assist honor.

On November 5 at the Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo, the 23-year-old assisted Elmas in scoring the game-winning goal in a 2-1 away victory over Atalanta.

For the prize, the striker will compete against Franck Zambo Anguissa, Mario Rui, Kvaratskhelia, and Elmas.

In 11 league appearances for the Parthenopeans this year, Osimhen has netted nine goals.
