Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp is said to be pushing for the Anfield side to sign highly-rated Moroccan midfielder Sofyan Amrabat from Fiorentina.

The Reds fell apart again while their fans thought they have finally turned their poor start to the season with good results these last weeks.

After their 3-1 victory over Leicester during the week-end, Liverpool bowed to Brentford earlier on Monday as they lose 1-3 away.

The Reds’ performance shows they need some new fuel in the midfield as Naby Keita regularly get injured while age is catching James Milner and Jordan Henderson.

After signing Cody Gakpo to have more solutions upfront, Klopp now wants to bolster his midfield with a modern player.

And according to Corriere dello sport, the German manager identified Sofyan Amrabat as the perfect choice on the market.

The 26-year old played a pivotal role in Morocco’s stunning 2022 World Cup campaign in Qatar and amassed lots of interest so far.

But Liverpool are frontrunners as Jürgen Klopp is said to be pushing for his arrival at Anfield.

However, the Reds will face a stiff competition in signing the Atlas Lion as Premier League rivals Tottenham and LaLiga duo FC Barcelona and Sevilla FC keep tabs on the player.

In addition, Sofyan Amrabat has a contract until June 2024 with Serie A side Fiorentina where he made 20 appearances so far this season.
