A certain Confederation of African Football (CAF) Media officer has been reportedly suspended for five years over alleged sexual assault during the ongoing CHAN 2022 tournament in Algeria.
According to The Guardian, the suspended journalist is a Beninese whose name is Sohounde Peperipé.
The events occurred last week-end in Algiers where the West African journalist invited a CAF official to his hotel bedroom and allegedly abused her sexually.

The news have been reported to CAF which decided to suspend Pepripé for five years of activity with the latter already back to Benin.
Sohounde Peperipé worked for more over 20 years for wordly-known French Radio station RFI and was named “best sports journalist of all time” by the Francophone Observatory Medias Success Plus.
