Bendel Insurance defeated Group A foe Remo Stars by 3-0 on Saturday to keep their perfect record in the Nigeria Premier Football League NPFL this season.

The Benin Arsenals are in first place in the group after four games and 12 points.

It was Remo Stars’ first loss in the NPFL this year. Insurance had just five minutes to settle down and grab the lead when Imade Osehenkhoe scrambled the ball in from an Osas Okoro corner.

In the current season, the youthful forward has now scored four goals for Monday Odigie’s team.

The second goal was added in the 25th minute by Sarki Ismael.

Austin Ogunye, a substitute, added another goal for Insurance with 14 minutes remaining to make the score more sympathetic.

Holders, Rivers United outlasted their hosts Dakkada 2-1 in Uyo.

The home team took the lead in the 16th minute thanks to Isaac George.

Nyima Nwagua of the visitors scored an equalizer after 35 minutes.

Paul Acquah of Ghana assisted Nwagua in completing a spectacular counterattacking move.

Late in the first half, Acquah also assisted Naibe Akpesiri in scoring the game-winning goal.
