AFCON CAF Approves Only Two Stadium For Super Eagles 2023 AFCON Qualifiers

The list of authorized stadiums for the 2023 African Cup of Nations AFCON qualifiers has been made public by the governing body of African soccer.

In Nigeria, only the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja and the Goodswil Akpabio Stadium in Uyo received approval.

24 of the 48 competing nations do not have certified venues, so they must play their home matches on neutral grounds.

The country with the most approved stadiums is Egypt, which has six. Algeria and Morocco each have five approved stadiums.

The qualifications are scheduled to continue in March 2023, and Nigeria’s Super Eagles, who had the maximum six points from two games, remained in first place in group B.
