Turkish Super Lig Ghana FA drops positive update on Christian Atsu situation

Ghana Football Association dropped some encouraging update on Christian Atsu who has been found under Turkish earthquake rubble this morning after 26 hours of search.

The 31-year old was trapped in the huge earthquake which hit Turkey and Syria on Sunday night.

Hatayspor officials did their best to alert rescue teams concerning the former Black Star and their sporting director.

Researches to find him was not conclusive on Monday, but the good news came this morning as Atsu has been found alive and brought to the hospital.

Pending an update from his club, Ghana FA issued a statement on social media over the former Black Stars striker. And the news are encouraging.

“Update: We’ve received some positive news that Christian Atsu has been successfully rescued from the rubble of the collapsed building and is receiving treatment. Let’s continue to pray for Christian”, GFA wrote on Twitter.

In addition, Atsu had 65 caps for Ghana national team and scored 10 goals for the Black Stars.
