CAF Champions League CAFCC: Rivers United Suffers Heavy Loss Against Diables Noirs

In their CAF Confederation Cup Group B match on Sunday in Brazzaville, Rivers United were defeated 3-0 by the Congolese team Diables Noirs.

All three goals were scored by the home team in the first half.

Diable Noirs took the lead from Carla Wunda at the halfway point.

After two minutes, Jaures Ngombe doubled the lead.

Eight minutes before halftime, Domi Massoumou scored from the penalty spot to give the Congolese a 3-0 lead.

When Ebube Duru missed his opportunity to score from the penalty spot after 57 minutes, Rivers United lost the chance to cut the gap.

Another Group B match ended in a 0-0 tie in Abidjan between ASEC Mimosa and DC Motema Pembe.

On Sunday, February 19, Rivers United will play ASEC Mimosa in their next match.
