Chelsea Potter Admits Chelsea Still Work In Progress After West Ham Game

Graham Potter acknowledged that Chelsea are still “a work in progress after a 1-1 draw against West Ham United on Saturday.

Chelsea’s winless Premier League streak reached three games after Joao Felix’s first goal for the Blues was cancelled out by Emerson at West Ham.

As the pressure increased on the Blues manager, Potter’s expensively put together team once again fell short of their price tags.

In his second game for the club, Portuguese attacker Felix gave Chelsea the lead, but Emerson, an Italian defender, struck back at his old team with an equalizer just before halftime.

Ninth-placed Chelsea is 10 points behind the top four teams in the Premier League after winning just one of their last eight games overall.

They are a good group and we are excited with the team and the potential but it is still a work in progress,” Potter said.
