Manchester United are the winners of 2023 Carabao Cup following their 2-0 win over Newcastle United on Sunday evening at Wembley.

The Red Devils won their first trophy since the UEFA Europa League in 2017 under Jose Mourinho.

With Erik ten Hag replacing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer last year, the Old Trafford-based side started a new journey which appeared to be tough for some players the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo who left the club.

However, the club officials trusted the Dutch tactician and after bringing them to Europa League last 16 round, they have now won their first trophy with the former Ajax Amsterdam coach.

Brazilian midfielder Casemiro opened the scoring for Manchester United in the 33rd minute before an own-goal from Sven Botman sealed the win for them six minutes later.
