Benzema Messi The Best 2022

Real Madrid captain Karim Benzema posted a cryptic message on social media after Lionel Messi won the Men’s Best Player Award at The Best FIFA Ceremony on Monday night in Paris, France.

The 35-year old was in contention for the award after his stellar performances during the 2021-2022 season.

Benzema ended that season as the top scorer both in UEFA Champions League and La Liga winning both competitions.

The former Lyon striker went on claiming the Ballon d’or Award and the UEFA Men’s Best Player of the Year.

He was also tipped to claim The Best FIFA Men’s Player of the Year Award.

However, the trophy has been awarded to Lionel Messi who got more votes than him as he ended at third position with Mbappe being second.

Benzema, who didn’t attend the ceremony on Monday night, posted a video to his Instagram story that says: “Liar, yes, you liar” with the caption “Good night”.

A message which fans believed is sent to FIFA as the 2022 Ballon d’or winner disagrees with the results.
