Manchester United legend Paul Scholes blasted one of Red Devils star saying he has been ‘criminal’ during the club’s 7-0 loss against Liverpool.

The Red Devils suffered such a heavy defeat many years ago.

While they are in an impressive run so far since Erik ten Hag’s arrival, Man United completely changed at Anfield with players been the shadow of themselves.

However, Paul Scholes said Argentine centre-back Lisandro Martinez has been criminal on Cody Gakpo’s first goal as the 2022 World Champion run past David De Gea face while the Dutch striker was about to shoot.

“I certainly don’t think it helps De Gea,” Scholes said at half time.

“But when he [Gakpo] does hit it, he has gone right past him.

“I think it happened a couple of times, can he stop the shot or have an effect on the shot rather than get in the keeper’s way.

“He needs to trust his goalkeeper. This is a top goalkeeper we’re talking about, do not get in his way. If anybody gets in the goalkeeper’s way, it’s criminal.”
