FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta admitted he met Lionel Messi father Jorge three weeks ago while rumors linking the seven-time Ballon d’or winner to a retunr to the Nou Camp are gaining field.
The 35-year old’s current contract with PSG will run out in June.
If Messi’s will is to continue in Paris, he is yet to reach an agreement over the conditions of his new deal.

Meanwhile, Barcelona still believes on his return for them to pay him the tribute he deserved and didn’t had when he was leaving in summer 2021.
“We have seen each other. I congratulated him for Argentina winning the World Cup,” Laporta said concerning his meeting with Jorge Messi, as per Mundo Deportivo.
“I don’t want to talk about a player who is playing for PSG. It’s not about Messi returning to Barcelona; we’re talking about a tribute.
“We exchanged glances at the FIFA The Best ceremony,” he added.
