AFCON Peseiro to Announce Super Eagles Squad For Djurtus On Wednesday

Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro is anticipated to name a lethal squad on Wednesday that would face Guinea-Bissau in the 2023 African Nations Cup qualifier.

The Portuguese tactician is holding the names of all invited players a guarded secret, but he may now divulge the list to the public once the outcome of the trouble-free presidential elections has made it evident that the game is over.

In the absence of any injuries, the majority of the players that participated in the most recent friendlies against Portugal are anticipated to make the roster, while fresh additions may not be completely ruled out.

The athletes anticipate arriving in Abuja on Sunday and are wishing for a smooth gubernatorial election on Saturday.

By announcing a list of the players who would take on the Super Eagles in the two-legged qualifiers, Guinea-Bissau went ahead of Nigeria in the meantime.

The first leg of the match will be played on March 24 at Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja, while the return leg will be played on March 28 in Marrakech, Morocco, because Bissau does not have a CAF-certified field.
