African players abroad It would be crazy – Wilfried Zaha told to let Saudi Arabia for Ronaldo, Messi

Al-Nassr bound Wilfried Zaha has been urged not to go to Saudi Arabia where Cristiano Ronaldo is playing since January and where Lionel Messi could end his career.

The 30-year old’s contract will run out in June this year and he is yet to extend it with Crystal Palace.

The Eagles and their former coach Patrick Vieira pushed for his contract lengthening.

Howver, Zaha has been reticent so far and the sacking of Vieira could even bolster his will to leave the Slehurst Park side.

Few weeks ago, reports emerged that Wilfried Zaha received a €10m annual salary offer to join Al-Nassr.

The Ivory Coast international would be tempted to accept the proposal as he is heading to the end of his career.

However, Liverpool legend Stan Collymore believes this would be the worst decision Zaha can make for his future as he still has things to offer at the highest level in Europe.

“Wilfried Zaha would be crazy to go to Saudi Arabia”, he said, as per OnzeMondial.

“We know that the money is important for the players but he will also win a lot of money in London.

“There are plenty of clubs that can still be helped by his talent in England like Newcastle or Aston Villa.

“He should ignore the easy option and leave that to Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, who have already achieved the greatest feats possible.”
