Black Stars head coach Chris Hughton reveals Ghana’s aim ahead of their decisive clash against Angol in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers on Thursday.

Group leaders Black Stars are hosting the Palancas Negras who have the same amount of points as them (4) at Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on Thursday (4pm).

Speaking ahead of the match, Ghana coach said he and his boys aim to seal their qualification for the next AFCON and ofcourse perform well in Côte d’Ivoire.

“What we can guarantee is we will work as hard as we can to put a team together; to create the right tactics, the right mentality, the right personnel to put ourselves in the best position to do that,” Hughton said in his pre-match press conference.

“And the first that comes is qualification, so we will work as hard as we can. I will be spending more time in Ghana. I will be watching more games. I am constantly being made aware of players who are doing well.

“I’ll be paying more attention to [GPL] games because it is important that we have a strong national league.”
