Nigeria’s Olympic Eagles’ hopes of competing in the 2017 U23 African Cup of Nations have been dashed.

Guinea, which had a beneficial goalless draw in the first leg, dominated the game from the start and were able to pin the Nigerian side.

Although playing in Rabat, Morocco, the host appeared to be the more likely to score in the first half.

Algassime Bah scored the first goal in the 62nd minute, and Alseny Soumah made it 2-0 with a direct free kick.

All of the Olympic Eagles’ efforts to save the situation were futile, and Guinea won 2-0 on aggregate.
