Victor Osimhen has been ruled out of Napoli’s game against Lecce on Friday.
Luciano Spalletti gave the hint as he reflected on painful Napoli’s 4-0 loss to Milan and provided a positive update on star striker Osimhen, who did not take part in that defeat
The Partenopei have been one of Europe’s most exciting teams this season, but they looked out of sorts against the Rossoneri on April 2, losing 2-0 to the defending champions.
The defeat instilled fear in Napoli supporters ahead of their Champions League quarter-final match against Milan later this month.
Spalletti addressed Osimhen’s availability against Lecce and the other games this month in a press conference ahead of Napoli’s match against Lecce.
“Friday there is no chance for Osimhen, we go to the following week with the work schedule.
“For the following matches, there are many possibilities from a programming point of view, but you have to wait for the practical development of the work.”
Recall Osimhen had a right adductor injury and was expected to be out for 20 days.
