Africa Soccer WAFU B-U20 Girls: Opeyemi Hits Hat Trick As Flamingos Thrash Niger

Esther Opeyemi scored a hat trick as
Nigeria Flamingos opened their WAFU-B U20 tournament with a convincing 7-0 victory against Niger Republic U20 girls.

The maiden edition of the WAFU B- U20 saw the Nigeria team dominated possession an Opeyemi put the Chris Danjuma tutored side ahead just four minutes of play.

Nine minutes later, Opeyemi scored her second goal as the Flamingos bossed the game from all corner.

Mercy Kalu made it 3-0 in the 30th minute heading to the second half.

Nigeria resumed the second half from where they left heading to the first half ad Adaobi Okah scored from the spot just four minutes into the second half to make it 4-0.

The Flamingos, despite a commanding leading kept mounting pressure on their opponent as Opeyemi completed her hat trick in the 54 minutes.

Victoria Alani compounded Nigeria Republic woes as she netted the sixth goal of the games before Chioma Olise put an icing to the cake in added minutes to make it 7-0 as the Flamingos ran riot against their opponent.
