Young Africans (Yanga SC) will face Azam FC in the final of the Azam Sports Federation Cup (ASFC) after defeating Singida United 1-0 in a closely fought semi-finals fixture at Liti Stadium in Singida on Sunday.

Substitute Fiston Mayele netted the winning goal in the 82nd minute to help the Timu ya Mwanachi maintain their push of winning a treble of domestic titles this season just like they did in the previous league campaign.

The Jangwani-based giants have already been crowned Tanzania’s Mainland Premier League champions with two matches to spare. They are sitting top of the 16-team table with 74 points from 28 matches, seven more than rivals Simba SC.
