Uganda KCCA FC’s target is to score highly against Busoga United – Mayanja

KCCA FC coach Jackson Mayanja has called on his players to score highly when they come up against Busoga United in a Ugandan Premier League fixture at Kakindu Stadium, Jinja, on Tuesday.

The Venoms are hoping to overcome a relegation-battling Busoga by not just winning but doing so with a huge margin of goals to cut the gap of goals between them and the table leaders Vipers SC, who will come up against BUL FC at the Fufa Technical Center, Njeru.

KCCA are second on the table but are tied on 49 points with Vipers. The difference between the first and second are six goals and it is the reason Mayanja is urging his players to score as many goals as possible.

“We want to go to Jinja with a mentality of winners. We want to get three points and score highly and we can only do that by sticking to our principles and playing our way,” Mayanja told the club’s official website.

“We do not have any major injury worries. The same players that have missed the previous games due to injury are still out but recovering well. Kizza, Wabyoona, Ayella are all recovering well.”

KCCA have received a boost with coach Mayanja set to return to the dugout having missed fixtures against Express FC and BUL due to suspension. The last time both sides met in the league earlier this season, KCCA emerged 2-1 winners.
