Rwanda APR stands best chance to clinch the Premier League title – Nshuti

APR striker Innocent Nshuti believes they have the best chance to lift the Rwandan Premier League title this campaign.

The army side returned to the top of the table after defeating Rwamagana City 4-1 at Bugesera Stadium and they will wrap up their 21st league title if they win their final fixture of the season against Gorilla FC.

Nshuti, who scored a hat-trick against Rwamagana, is confident they have what it takes to claim their hands on the trophy.

“We only have to win our final fixture to retain the title. We need to be more careful and win this match if we are to claim it,” Nshuti said as quoted by Times Sports.

“This will be a historic achievement after everyone wrote us off among title contenders, and now we are back at the top of the drawing board.”

He added: “After winning against Rwamagana City, our next mission is to beat Gorilla FC, to sum up our season with a title. That’s our bigger ambition.”

While APR will face Gorilla, second-placed Kiyovu will come up against Rutsiro while third-placed Rayon Sports will take on Sunrise FC.
