Premier League Chelsea appoints Mauricio Pochettino as new head coach

Chelsea named Mauricio Pochettino as their new head coach following the end of the season in the Premier League.

The Blues who ended the season at 12th place will not play European football next season.

However, they are committed to concentrate on domestic titles.

And Pochettino will be the man in charge for this mission to be succeeded.

“Chelsea Football Club is pleased to confirm Mauricio Pochettino will become head coach of the men’s team from the beginning of the 2023/24 season”, CFC statement reads.

“The Argentine will begin his new role on 1 July 2023 on a two-year contract, with a club option of a further year.

Pochettino who formely coached Tottenham will be assisted by include Jesus Perez, Miguel d’Agostino, Toni Jimenez and Sebastiano Pochettino.
