Kenya won their opening fixture in the Four-Nation tournament after registering a 1-0 victory against Pakistan on Wednesday.
Harambee Stars coach Engin Firat named Bryne Odhiambo and Moses Shummah in his starting line-up and it was Shummah, who scored the all-important goal in the 17th minute of the game.
Bryne Odhiambo was handed a start in goal, with Amos Nondi, David Ochieng, Eric Ouma and Abud Omar manning the defence. Kenya’s midfield featured Collins Sichenje, Anthony Akumu, Richard Odada and Daniel Sakari.
Kenya coach Firat was not impressed despite the win insisting: “I am not happy with how we played, we gave Pakistan too much space and it was due to luck we got away with victory. But anyway, the young guys are learning.”
