Harambee Stars coach Engin Firat admits he was not impressed with how his charges played in their 1-0 victory against Pakistan on Wednesday.
In the Four-Nation fixture at Anjalay Coopen Stadium in Mauritius, Firat named Bryne Odhiambo and Moses Shummah in his starting line-up and it was Shummah, who scored the all-important goal in the 17th minute of the game.

“I am not happy because we did not play the way I wanted – we were a bit slow in passing. Pakistan played so deep and close. They fought like it was a final, congratulation to them,” said Firat after the game, adding: “We had to find solutions and we had a lot of opportunities which we didn’t finish and this is why I did not like how we played.
“We did have seven players missing from our last friendly against Iran so the game was not at the level I expected and some of the players had difficulties playing in the artificial pitch, we don’t have those venues in Kenya and my players struggled to cope.”
Kenya will next face host Mauritius in their final fixture at Anjalay Coopen Stadium on Sunday.
