Prior to this weekend’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone, Ademola Lookman did not participate in Wednesday night’s Super Eagles team practice.

The winger for Atalanta was excused from the workout at Onikan’s Mobolaji Johnson Arena.

But the technical team remained mum over Lookman’s exclusion.

Bright Osayi-Samuel of Fenerbahce, who arrived at camp on Wednesday morning, was one of the 22 players that participated in the practice.

On Thursday night, the Super Eagles should continue their practice for the match.

Following a 1-0 victory over Sao Tome and Principe on Wednesday, Guinea-Bissu climbed to the top of the group.
