The CAF Champions League debut of the Nigerian team Remo Stars ended in a 1-0 loss to Medeama SC in far-off Ghana.
In the draw held a few months ago, the runners-up of the Nigerian league were paired against Medeama SC, winners of the Ghana Premier League.
Played at the Cape Coast Stadium in Ghana, the home team won the match and was successful in holding back Remo Stars’ offensive threats.

Sowah scored the game’s lone goal towards the conclusion of the first half, which caused the audience to erupt into raptures.
The Sky Blue Boys attempted a stronger comeback in the second half, and team coach Daniel Ogunmodede made several adjustments to the lineup, but they were unable to score the crucial equaliser, and the host team won the match 1-0.
This weekend, Remo Stars will host the second leg in an effort to alter the narrative.
