Victor Boniface received his first call-up to the Super Eagles, and Bayer Leverkusen has congratulated him on the occasion.

The Super Eagles’ 23-man roster for the 2023 AFCON qualifier against So Tomé and Principe was released on Sunday.

Gift Orban, Jordan Torunarigha, and Boniface each received their first invitation.

Tyronne Ebuehi and Jamilu Collins, for example, returned to the team.

Leverkusen responded to Boniface’s initial invitation by posting the following on their X handle:

The weekend’s 5-1 victory over Damstadt for Leverkusen featured two goals and an assist from Boniface.
