UEFA EUROPA LEAGUE UEFA Europa League:Boniface Score As Leverkusen Thrash BK Haecken

Victor Boniface was on target as Bayer Leverkusen began their UEFA Europa League campaign with a 4- 0 win against BK Haecken.

The Nigeria striker was drafted to direct his team’s offence against Hacken by coach Xabi Alonso.

Since joining the squad this season on a $20 million plus add-on contract, the player has tallied six goals and three assists.

The overwhelming favourite to win, Die Werkself had an early impact on the game.

They took the lead after just ten minutes thanks to a well-executed combination between Boniface and Florian Wirtz, who scored to make it 1-0.

In the 26th minute, Bayer Leverkusen added a second goal, giving them a sizable advantage.

Adli switched roles in the 66th minute, assisting Boniface for the third goal before Jonas Hofmann scored the fourth goal four minutes later.

Igoh Ogbu scored the second goal for Slavia Prague in their 2-0 victory over Servette while the match was still going on in Switzerland.

For the visiting Slavia Prague, Lukas Masopust scored the game’s first goal in the 32nd minute.

In the 59th minute, Ogbu scored the second goal for the Czech team.

The 23-year-old midfielder represented his team for the full 90 minutes.
