Enyimba international head Coach Finidi George has disclosed the reason Enyimba why his team lost to Wydad Casablanca in the inaugural edition of the African Football League.

In the African Football League, the Nigerian champions lost to the Moroccan powerhouses 4-0 on aggregate over the course of the two matches.

The legendary Nigerian player blamed his team’s lack of experience for their loss and added that they will take the lesson into the next game.

 “It was not a good match for us, especially in the first half and it was because of the way Wydad played.

“They put us under a lot of pressure and my players made mistakes which gave them an early goal. After the early goal, we knew it was going to be difficult.”

“We have a lot of young players. We are working towards something and I think in the coming years, these players will graduate and will have the experience to play at this level.

“For them, it was a big experience playing in such a tournament. We will learn from what we have done wrong,” he said.
